Relocation Services
Most companies lack the necessary experience
to
effectively plan and move their entire network
infrastructure from one location to another. Most often,
this is the first time they have ever had to deal with
such a task therefore questions like the following come
in mind:
>>
Who will be tearing down the computers?
>> Are
they knowledgeable about computer equipment?
>> Does
the new site have enough network connections
for all of our computers?
>> How
much downtime will we have?
>>
Will users be printing to a different default printer
at the new location?
>> Who
is going to take care of any configuration changes?
In response to these problems Pronet Solutions
has come
up with a well tested network moving plan that has three
phases:
Phase One
- The meeting
The first meeting has three primary objectives: Determine
your needs and schedule times and dates of the move to
minimize or eliminate down time, analyze your current system
to see what kind of services you have and need to transfer
over to the new site like ISP's web-sites e-mail servers and
DNS transfers and visit the new site to check for adequate
cabling.
Phase Two
- De-Installation
This is the phase when we take down your system and
disconnect all computers, printers and servers. Our engineers
will make sure that all systems have been turned off and
disconnected properly and they will put them aside ready
for packaging.
Phase Three
- Re-Installation
Once the equipment has arrived at the new site our
engineers will reassemble and reconnect everything and
perform a complete diagnostic check of the system to make
sure that everything is back in service and fully operational.
Usually the moving plan is scheduled over the weekend for
zero downtime. This way your company will be back in business
on the following Monday together with one of our engineers
just to fine tune or resolve whatever comes up on your first day.
